Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are eager to learn. They come to school every day looking for new challenges. I like to think of them as little sponges ready to soak up everything I teach them.
My students attend an inner city school in southern California.
They come from a low socioeconomic background. Violence in the neighborhood is all too common. But even with all of these challenges facing them, they find ways to succeed. They understand the value of a quality education. I truly believe that by introducing my students to a healthy way of living, their study habits and work habits will improve.
My Project
With your generous donations, my students will have the opportunity to have hard drives in the classroom to record their presentations, documents, and research for their U.S. history course. Many students don't have a computer at home, so the only place they have access to a computer is in the classroom and the school's computer lab. They are dedicated students who are always completing their assignments and doing research, so having external hard drives will ease their tasks by saving all their information to a memory device while being able to take it from the classroom to the computer lab.
Every student needs to be technologically literate and have the resources to achieve it.
By having external hard drives for all my students to use, they will be able to save all their work and be able to transport their information from one computer to another.
