My Students

I teach 3rd grade. To me, this is the most important and fun year in a child's education! This is the time in a child's life when they absorb the most information and are the most eager to learn. It's also a big year for passing state mandated tests and showing their strengths in the learning they've received so far.

Building a loving, safe, structured and organized environment for children is a major key on their road to success!

Unfortunately with reduced state funding, the districts are unable to hire more teachers and our class sizes are going from 15 students to nearly 30. This makes for cramped conditions.

Even though we have higher class numbers and less space, we have bigger hearts and willpower. My students are hard-working, strong-willed, and eager to succeed!

My Project

With an expanded student count and no cubbies, we have little to no extra space to work with and no way to keep our belongings off the floor. We currently hang our coats and backpacks on our chairs. They don't stay there and end up creating a tripping hazard. The Jonti-Craft Mobile Backpack Cart with Cubbie Trays will prevent this from happening. Plus, we will be able to move it out into the hallway when needed!

With a mobile backpack cart we will be able to keep our belongings out of the floor and make our environment more safe and organized.
