Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As a teacher in an extremely diverse and unique city, my students come from extremely diverse and unique backgrounds. In this, they enter my classroom with a variety of needs and strengths. My hope is to provide for them a quality and holistic education, regardless of their background or circumstances. I strive to create the most effective lessons inside a safe environment that fosters their academic, social, and emotional needs.
My students are empathetic, loving, curious, and creative kindergartners.
We work hard every single day. We are working on all sorts of skills!
My Project
Currently, we keep all our books and supplies in drawers that are between our tables. This requires every child to get up in order to get their books! In order to keep traffic jams from happening, we have to all get up one at a time. This adds unnecessary transition time and takes away from our learning time!
Seat sacks will help us stay organized and get our materials out quickly.
The faster we can get our materials out, the more time we will have to learn! If we are all able to have our books right behind us, we can get our supplies out quickly, stay organized, and learn all we need to learn this year!
