I have the privilege of teaching art to almost 300 amazing students! My students attend a school that services individuals ages 2 to 21 with severe cognitive, physical, social, and emotional disabilities. My students are amazing and work so hard to overcome all of their daily challenges.
Each and every day I have the opportunity to engage my learners in fun, visual and tactile learning experiences by combining literacy and art!

My Project
My students LOVE to paint. But painting with special needs students, in a preschool classroom with 14 children can get messy! These paint smocks will be a lifesaver, especially for our clothes and arms. I am seeking smocks for my younger preschool friends and aprons for my elementary age students. These items will ensure that my little ones can have a fabulous time painting and creating beautiful works of art, while not getting messy or ruining their clothes. Pom poms will allow us to add a bit of pizzazz to our beautiful works of art. Please help me continue to provide my learners with the tools they need to express their creative sides!
