This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are passionate about learning, technology, helping others, animals, the environment, and reducing our carbon footprint. They are kind and committed to showing their township pride by working to improve the lives of our neighbors. Twice a month we hold classroom meetings, district-wide in which we discuss ways that we can promote and increase pride in our township.
We have a diverse student population in terms of ethnicity, nationality, languages spoken, and socio-economic background.
We are a Title 1 school in a suburb in South New Jersey.
My Project
The Elementary Green Club is focusing on helping to save Golden Lion Tamarins from extinction this year! We are looking to reduce water and electricity in our community! We have entered the UNLESS contest with the Philadelphia Zoo to do just this!
We want to buy and install an Elkay Water Bottle Filling station in our school to save wasted water, keep water bottles out of landfills, reduce the production of plastic bottles and the electricity and water needed to make them!
Installing the water bottle filling station will help to make our student body aware of the problem and also provide them with a healthy and fresh beverage option! Please help us accomplish our goal!
