First grade is a time where students are constantly learning and exploring. In first grade, children learn to turn letters into words and numbers into math problems. Exploration is a key component at this age.
First graders love to explore the world around them.
Some students have multiple opportunities to explore at home, while other students only have opportunities to explore at school.
My first grade students are full of compassion and the desire to learn more. We have a wonderful community where all learners are welcomed, respected, and diversity is honored.
Our classroom currently has very little technology (3 computers for 25 students)! We are in a world that is constantly delving deeper with technology. Having an iPad in the classroom would help my 1st grade students begin their exploration into technology. We would be able to see iPads as more than just a hub for fun games, but also as a tool for learning and growing as individuals.
In a world full of technology, iPads offer a great way for young learners to explore.
Our iPad will be used to house learning intervention programs. These programs have been backed by research and data and can help students to fill in learning gaps. Having access to this hands-on learning tool can make a difference for the future of our world!
