This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Technology for our students is way outdated; the Cd's that go along with their music books are really worn out. While students sing, move or play to the music, some of the songs skip due to marks and scratches. A good chunk of that cd collection can still be saved if the music program had an iPod.
My elementary students are always excited and highly self motivated when playing instruments; they never want to leave the music room.
They attend a public school of high poverty in Texas. Students are always rotated on instruments due to the shortage. One thing they do have is books and Cd's which include tracks used for winter and end of the year concerts. That cd collection gets used daily and soon those cd's will stop working properly.
My Project
Today, it's a proven fact that schools with fine arts perform better across all subjects. These resources will provide more opportunities for students by maximizing instructional time, improve technique, and giving them a chance to continuously have their concerts. Concerts are of tradition in their culture. My students will benefit greatly by using the iPods. Students will learn authentic musicianship and develop in artistry. These resources are an incentive to music and academics.

Without these resources, students will never be ready for a performance or a serenade. The impact for children is always a life learning experience. With your help these students will have the best music experience; students will continue to make music every year.
