My Students

Picture a group of students. One of them is standing, one is about to fall out of their chair from leaning back so far, and another is destroying her sneakers by balancing the chair leg on top of her shoe.

I am a creative and busy teacher who teaches ENERGETIC and WIGGLY 1st through 6th grade gifted and talented students.

I allow my students to move around and stand up if they want to while they work. My students are very hard workers, but they need to be comfortable.

My Project

The goal of this project is to meet the sensory needs of the children in my classroom. These chairs are meant to let children work off energy while still attending to their work or my lesson. All day my students ache and groan on painful plastic chairs.

I blend instruction with frequent brain breaks and use movement to stimulate their minds and bodies.

However, students still need to stimulate their senses during lessons and the Kore Wobble Chairs would help with that because the chairs need to stay balanced. Integrating these sensory tools into the classroom will make a big difference in their daily learning activities.

My students cannot work or pay attention when all they can think about is how uncomfortable they are in their chairs. Please donate to help my students start learning comfortably again!
