My students need Soft Seats, for circle time/morning meeting. We need storage containers to store our manipulatives. Scissors are also needed. We have no printer either.
We go into our Morning Meeting/ Circle Time. Then we transition into Language Arts for 2 hours, then to Math. Next is lunch and recess. We then have SS and Science for an hour, before we go to PE for an hour and thirty minutes. Then we come back and finish SS and Science. Then we have free time.
My students come from Low SES families.
They are all six years old, and have the potential to be great! My students sometimes lack the ability to hold expectations, because their home lives are not that great. We are a small charter school, and our class is only sixteen! :) My students do have behavioral issues, and we are always looking for new ways to improve.
My Project
My students will use the seat cushions to keep their hands and feet to themselves and also keep us in a circle, for our morning meetings and reading time. It will be so beneficial for the students who earn extra free time to read on the floor. My students will love the cushions! They can benefit from the scissors, because a lot of my students do not have supplies. This is a problem with our class, every day. The printer will help us when our copier goes down, which is about every day. That way we can still do our work!
Lastly, the storage bins will help us get our manipulatives out of the cardboard boxes, and into storage containers. We get to play with our manipulative whenever we have a good behavior day for the whole class.
This project will help my students become better behaved within the classroom, and for future teachers along the way.
They will learn many morals with these requests. They will see that they are setting goals, and achieving them.
