My Students

I am new to this building this year, and I am very excited to have the opportunity to work with such a wonderful group of students! Even though they are wonderful, they still fidget. Every hour brings a new group of students who need reading intervention and some need to be able to move as they read. They are not like when I grew up and they sit in a hard chair and read. I have found that they like to read and move. Our community is fabulous at helping with small things, but I would like to see what I can do about big things like these chairs. We are going to have a phenomenal year with your help! Thank you for your interest in this project!

My Project

My class is full of students who need to reach their potential in reading. Some of them need to fidget while they read and some need to be able to move just a bit while they are reading without being a distraction to the other students that are reading. I believe giving these students an outlet for movement will only help them become more successful in their reading adventures. Students need an outlet for their movement and I would prefer that they get that movement out within a positive manner and not be disruptive to the classroom.

I have a strong belief that these stools will help the students be able to move without knowing that that is exactly what they are doing.

Students will be able to get their fidgeting out and be able to be successful while they are reading a book or they are reading on their Chromebooks.
