I just got a new job at a NEW school, and I'm ready to use flexible seating in my NEW classroom! I serve kids with various living arrangements, differing family structures, General social-emotional needs and high academic accommodations.
My kids are ready to learn, excited about school and looking forward an awesome 1st grade experience.
The kids don’t all have sparkly, fun, home lives, but when they get to school they mean business. It would be incredible if they got to assert their independence at school, where as they might not get the opportunity to at home.
My Project
The Surf Portable lap desks will great for when kiddos want to be sitting on the floor, but still have work to get done! They can be comfortable and work at the same time!
Giving students the choice of where to sit gives them the freedom to learn their best way!
My new students need NEW, flexible and creative seats to CHOOSE from. Seat choice is just the beginning of these kids making their way in the world! Who wants to sit in a regular chair anymore, anyways??
My goal is to get enough seating options for each child to have something to sit in that isn't a typical school chair. They will sit at round tables of varying heights to accommodate their new seats! My goal for this project is to eliminate uncomfortable seating as one way to increase student engagement and achievement!
Kore Wobble seats give students the ability to wiggle while they work. The Big Joe refill bags will fatten up our 2-person bean bag and our 3 bean bag chairs to a more comfortable fit! My kids (and I) are going to love the variety this provides in our learning!
