The students are all young Native Americans participating in Track and Field.
The students at the Santa Fe Indian school come from around the state of New Mexico, as well as Arizona, North Dakota, South Dakota and other states.
Many of them have never participated in any other sports in their home villages or tribes.
Santa Fe Indian school is a place for the students to receive a great education as well as a place to educate themselves in extra curricular activities. For some, this is their ticket to post secondary schooling or other avenues they choose to take.
My Project
These items we have requested are training items for the sport of track and field.
Here at Santa Fe Indian school, our students have a great opportunity to showcase their talents in the classroom, but also on the athletic fields as well.
Since our kids are all Native and come from across the country, we learn to co-exist with one another. Sports is where we learn to communicate and indulge with each other.
With this equipment, we will be able to teach our students the proper techniques of each event.
