My students need multiple dispensers and a handheld vacuum to practice independence. The lesson planner will keep us organized and on pace for lessons each week.
These five and six year old kindergarten students have a large range of backgrounds. Some of my students are English language learners. All students, including those with special needs, thrive from hands-on, engaging experiences. These interactive experiences give all students a purposeful, memorable learning experience. Students learn through active play! Keeping students up and engaged is key. I yearn for all my students to take away a true love for learning and a deep understanding of academic goals and skills.
My Project
Each year a goal for all of my students is to leave the classroom more independent and able to complete multiple tasks without assistance. This is an invaluable tool that is sometimes overlooked. Independence brings students confidence that will be so important for their future. This confidence will follow them through their academic career.
Through small things like serving themselves at snack and getting their own hand sanitizer, students will begin developing a strong sense of "I can do it".
This will likely transfer on to an independence and confidence in reading, math and more. The automatic hand sanitizer dispenser will allow students to simply grab their sanitizer on the way out the door. This will not only allow students the opportunity to do this independently, but also save us transition time leaving the classroom. The two food dispensers and cup dispenser will simply allow students to grab a small snack cup and choose from one of the two snack options, all by themselves. The small hand vacuum will give students the ability to pick up after themselves in multiple scenarios, including after art projects, snack, or sensory table play. The lesson planner will keep us on task toward our goals for the school year. It will help us stay on target and save me some sanity by staying organized. These materials will build students' independence while saving us all some sanity!
