Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I teach 9th-grade JROTC cadets at LHS. My cadets are always eager to learn about the time I served in the military and my experiences. A lot of my formers cadets are serving in the military and many of my current cadets have enlisted in the military.

My Project

During these trying times of COVID, 19 teachers must remain vigilant in keeping our bathroom/classroom safe for our students. It is our responsibility to ensure that we maintain a safe environment for not only our cadets but our JROTC cadre. I will use these cleaning materials to sanitize my bathroom/classroom before, during, and after my cadets depart my area.

I will also sanitize restrooms/classrooms.

The JROTC program has numerous after-school programs i.e., drill team, STEM team, Adventure Training Unit, and Cadet Challenge Teams. Our mats, chairs, computers, and classrooms have to be sanitized during and after these activities.
