I believe every child deserves the opportunity for an excellent education, and I am proud to partner with my school, other educators, families, and community leaders to strive toward this goal. I teach in a high poverty school zone in which 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. These amazing students need additional support because most of them come from low-income single family households of which many have little to no support or resources. Despite some of the challenges they face in and around their environment, every year my students come to school excited, full of life, and eager to learn.
As the 2016 and 2019 Teacher of the Year as well as an alumni of Metro Atlanta Teach for America, I choose to continue to significantly impact the life trajectories of students in our region’s high-need communities.
My students come to school each day excited about the possibilities that lay ahead. The hands-on learning that takes place throughout the day leaves many visual reminders in the form of pieces of paper, trash, scraps, etc…which are impossible for our custodian to clean effectively on a daily basis, much less throughout the day and after each meal that will be eaten in our class.
With COVID 19 altering our daily routines, we want to ensure all students and myself are safe and learning in a sanitized, clean classroom.
Please help me keep our classroom clean for healthy learning to occur with a Dirt Devil Endura Max XL Upright Vacuum that will help me clean the class and keep everyone safe.
