Help me give my students the tools they need to spark their creativity and sensory exploration. I have requested items for our sand and water table as well as magnetic toys for them to explore and create with.
My classroom is filled with 18 energetic Head Start students. They are from 3-5 years old and all love to learn and explore. I try to keep my classroom as independent and hands on as I possibly can.
We run a program that is free to the parents and gives equal learning opportunities to children no matter what their financial state is.
Right now my students have become diverse learners, but could use some new materials to further their imaginations and thinking processes. Please consider donating to our classroom for the benefit of these young minds!
My Project
My project combines a few aspects of the classroom that the children really enjoy, but we could use some fresh, new items in. Our students really enjoy our sand and water table, but we don't have many materials for it to keep them engaged in play. Another favorite area is our magnatiles, but we don't have enough pieces for the children to really expand their creativity and play together.
With these materials we can bring creativity and expression in more areas than just the two they play with these types of toys in now.
They can also explore this in the block center with the magnetic cars, and creating their own "roller coaster" on our magnetic board. I love the idea of children being excited for their own creations, and this project will let them be able to do just that.
In the sand and water table the children will be able to dig for dinosaurs and sift for letters. They will also be able to go fishing for letters adding excitement into the water table that they already love. Your donations to this project would be much appreciated and will be cherished by all of the children who come through my classroom!
