My students are excited four and five-year-old children from a diverse area in a high needs school. They bring a joy of learning and a welcoming community. Our school works hard to make sure all kids feel welcome and encouraged.
My students work hard to grow their brains.
They need a comfortable place to rest during the day since we are at school all day. Children's brains grow while they are sleeping and resting so having a comfortable save place to rest will help them be more focused during the rest of the day.
My Project
During distance learning my Pre-K students still need hands on materials. We will be doing a study on sand. Sand helps Pre-K students with so many skills including measuring, self-regulation, spatial awareness and even for learning to write.
Students learn best with sensory experiences.
These two different types of sand along with the funnels and sifters will help our kids use their science brains while calming their bodies. Students having their own little sandbox to explore during our face time instruction would be a big benefit for our students and for their family members.
