Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
It is an honor this academic year to have young scholars who are eager and determined to learn. The school is classified as a Title I school. Therefore, the scholars and families lack basic essentials. Many of the scholars in my classroom have recently arrived from their native countries. The scholar's native countries consist of the following: Bangladesh, Lebanon, China, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Senegal.
My class is categorize: English as New Language.
In addition, the scholars are deficient in foundation skills (e.g. Addition, Subtraction etc.) Many scholars have not had the opportunity to attend elementary school in their native countries. The scholar's academic deficits are in the following subjects: Language, Reading, Writing, and Math.
However, despite the scholars' academic deficits, they are enthusiastic and ascertain to learn. I am dedicated to supporting scholars and families by providing school supplies (e.g. notebooks, pencils and book bags)
Finally, I support the scholars to develop self-confidence, independence and thrive to succeed academically and socially.
My Project
Scholars need the Solar System Fact and Solar System Activity Tub - Gr. 4-6 to learn about the Solar Sytem and Universe threw manipulative and books. Scholars will have the opportunity to explore and attain knowledge of Universe while building language proficiency skills.
Scholars will use the See-Me Privacy Partition - Set of 10 when completing writing, math and test assignments.
The See-Me Privacy Partition - Set of 10 will allow the scholars to have privacy when taking a test or any assessment.
Scholars need Continents of the World Activity and Geography Skills Match-Ups to build upon Social Studies in their community, national, and global levels by using hand on activities while developing language proficiency skills
