Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Most of my students are from low-income families and yet they strive hard to do great work in my class. They are a diverse group of students who love to learn and prepare themselves and their future. If you see them in my classroom, you will see their inquisitiveness and curiosity as well as their eagerness to help each other. It would be such a waste of talent if they are not given the best opportunity they could ever have.
My Project
I would like my students to be SAFE all throughout our lab activities. It has always been a struggle for my students to wear the goggles for the entire duration of the lab because they are uncomfortable to wear and it gets foggy from time to time due to condensation. Because of this, I can't use the chemicals that I think will pose a safety concern for my students who are sometimes not wearing their goggles on their eyes but on their forehead instead.
In order for me to do the best lab activities for my students, I need them to be SAFE - first and foremost.
With these goggles, my students will wear them all the time because they're comfortable. My students and I will appreciate it if you can be part of our safety effort in our classroom.
