Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach Med Careers in high school. We have an amazing program. We recently went to state competition 3/29/2019. We won the gold in Nurse Assisting and Medical Terminology. These two incredible students have the opportunity to travel to nationals on June 24,2019 to Louisville, Kentucky.

who won nurse assisting is smart, kind, top athlete and top scholar. E. is on the volleyball and softball team. She is extremely versatile and hopes to be a surgeon. Her current GPA is 4.4. Her goals are intact and I believe she will attain this dream.
A. who won the Medical Terminology is brilliant and loves to study. Her parents are from Bangladesh and have come here for great opportunities. She WILL become a doctor; her love of knowledge grows each day. In addition, she is taking three college courses after school and maintaining high grades here. Her GPA is currently a 4.6.
My Project
This item is necessary for all 21 skills ( holding all supplies including basin of water and linens) that I must teach to each student. The current bedside table does not roll and is SO old. We are constantly tripping over its leg and it can cause injury. The students would appreciate this item because it would improve their confidence and performance in their nursing assistant skills. The state evaluators come annually out in May for testing and have commented on this archaic piece of equipment and would recommend a purchase of a new bed side table.
This item would improve students' efficiency in performing mandated skills.
As you can see, this would benefit me, the teacher, my students, and the state evaluators.
