I have more students interested in being part of our new school choir program. For over 10 years our school has used labor-of-love materials and excessive time before and after each performance for the performers to be seen by the audience. We have determined that we need safer stage and riser material for this program to continue. I have been happy to give what I can out of my limited income and expenses as the family bread-winner, but there is only so much I can do for these well-deserved students.
While a large number of students who have to opt to take choir are genuinely interested in singing, we must make sure they can be seen in the performances, while standing on safe structures.
Our community is rural, about 20 miles of winding road from our nearest major population center, and with a strong sense of local control desired in our school systems, we do not have an adequate supporting high school program or community non-profits for assistance.
