My students need Zenergy Ball chairs to help with restless wiggles, sensory needs, increased focus, and safety. I have asked for five of these chairs to be used as flexible seating for collaborative groups.
I teach at a Title I school in Kansas. Our students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with over 75% of our students receiving free or reduced lunches. Many of my students also receive food packs to take home on the weekends.
The students in my classroom are students with learning and emotional disabilities.
Many of them have experienced trauma in their lives and have difficulty coming to school. Our classes serve students with a range of disabilities, including intellectual disabilities, emotional disturbance, autism spectrum disorder and specific learning disabilities. Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best. They want to be in school because they want to learn and they feel safe.
These chairs will provide a safe way to utilize ball chairs in my classroom. They will provide flexible seating options during collaborative group time. My students will be more engaged and focused.
Regular exercise balls are a safety issue because students wobble on them, and are not able to balance well.
The ball chairs are never where they should be because they roll around easily. These stools will be more stable because they have four legs. The Zenergy chairs provide a safe way to meet my student's sensory needs. Please help my students be engaged and to not roll away.
