My students need these stools in our art room to help keep things safe!

Many of our students are wonderful, curious individuals that want to be inspired. I do everything I can, and my students respond so enthusiastically! They appreciate hard work, creativity, and FUN! However, with the fun comes responsibility. These students are learning amazing lessons in dedication, citizenship, and perseverance. They are able to get their hands dirty and have a good time, all while maintaining their focus on the objectives at hand.
My students are hungry for knowledge, yet we often do not have appropriate materials to guide them in instruction and experiences.
While hands-on activities are amazing tools to use with these curious learners, structure and personal responsibility for one's work is also very important. Building portfolios and connecting information across different types of resources is very exciting for them, since they are documenting their learning as well as connecting that learning with their sources. These students are very eager and interested in multiple ways of reading, doing math, and experiencing science and social studies. Every opportunity they can take to learn something new, they take advantage of to the fullest!
Having safe seating in an art room environment is essential. We use lots of different materials in a variety of ways. Students in my class are also expected to set up and clean up all supplies to teach them responsibility. Currently, we have a mix of chairs and stools in our classroom. However, the chairs are old, large, wooden chairs and have proven to be more dangerous than anticipated. Therefore, I would love to replace them all with stools!
Having stools as seating in the art room will dramatically increase student safety.
Currently, our small students have a hard time getting in and out of the old wooden chairs, as they are large and cumbersome. We have many students fall, pinch themselves or others, or slide chairs into each other as students come in to have a seat. Also, while students are setting up or cleaning, they have a hard time reaching over and around these high awkward chairs. Replacing these chairs with these stools will allow students better mobility around the room, with less falls and spills due to the bulky chairs.
