My students are a group of kindergarteners, ages 5 and 6, in Rhode Island. The students walk into our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. I ask them, "Who is the best kindergarten class?" and they reply, "We are!" I want them to know I believe in them and they can do anything.
These kids are filled with enthusiasm and love to play and learn.
At this age, my students are like little sponges soaking up every bit of information they see and hear, and I want to provide them with hands-on experiences and help develop their love for learning.
I want my students to have everything they deserve and hope you all can help!
My Project
Do you like sitting in one place all day? I know that I personally like to be able to move and work wherever I am comfortable. Students are currently being asked of students in school right now. Being 5 this is not an easy task not developmentally appropriate.
These floor cushions would allow my kindergarten students to remain safely spaced but also have flexible seating options.
Students would be able to choose between their seat at their table and their floor cushion seat.
Choice is a powerful tool! Having a choice in seating will increase engagement and also help focus and attention.
