Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students are my absolute inspiration. I want to give them a safe space to apply themselves. Many of my students do not have a spare space in their life. I want to provide this space.

I want to give them a space to apply to colleges, apply for scholarships, and apply for jobs.

These materials will allow my students to be comfortable in a space that will allow them to apply themselves to reach their dreams. The chair will allow students to be comfortable in their space. This will allow the space to feel like a professional, goal oriented space. I also ask for a refrigerator and microwave so they can store their snacks and lunches. Many of our students are economically disadvantaged. Many of them do not bring a lunch to school. The refrigerator will allow me to have healthy snacks stored in their space so they will feel at home in their student space.
