My Students
As a teacher in a low income high poverty school, our student athletes are faced with many challenges inside and outside of the classroom. We are looking to keep the students motivated to live healthy and active lifestyles by keeping them engaged in positive activities such as basketball. Having a healthier life can build self confidence which is what the majority of our students need. Playing basketball will help these students cope with the everyday struggles in their own personal lives. Our students do not have the means to help fundraise for the team, nor do they have the contacts to reach in order to donate money for their team.
My Project
This project will help my students academically and help keep our classroom sanitary! This year will not be like any previous year in our schools.
We have shared copy machines that we would normally use daily but these ink cartridges will allow us to print the materials students need without leaving the classroom.
This will help us limit the amount of times we have to leave the classroom during the school day. These cartridges will also help differentiate because I will be able to print different versions of activities, based on students’ needs, right from our room.
