My students are active and engaged learners. They are natural scientist who learn through hands-on explorations. Students have ample opportunities to investigate natural artifacts. The students have formed a close classroom community who support and care about each other.
Students are responsible and each have jobs which help them learn independence and self-esteem.
The students teach their peers as they share their expertise and encourage one another during their play. They like to pretend and use their imaginations. They have great respect for each other.
My Project
The materials selected will be used by students in the classroom to build fine motor strength. During this time of COVID, safety is mandatory. I am creating tubs using a variety of manipulatives which will keep children engaged while sitting socially distanced from each other in their assigned groups. I have already created a few boxes we are currently using in class, but I want a variety of materials which will help students build fine motor muscles. The material selected support fine motor development.
Many of my students lack strong fine motor muscle, I have chosen materials that build fine motor development.
This skill is needed for writing.
Students will use the boxes in the morning and afternoon while sitting at assigned tables. I chose materials that are interesting to boys and girls.
