Help me give my students the opportunity to learn safely as to provide them with materials that will keep them in their own learning space face to face as well as virtually.
As my kindergarten students and I navigate the challenges that this pandemic has given us this year, we have had to make adjustments and sacrifices. My little kinder friends have had to learn how to adjust from a remote setting to a hybrid setting. We have just started back with half going 2 days a week live, and 3 days at home virtual.
I have face-to-face and virtual classes at the same time.
While learning to understand some different classroom rules, such as not being able to share materials with each other, a very natural thing to do at this age, we have discovered we are in need of some things.
My Project
My hope is to enable my students to each have their own individual materials that they will use during hybrid and remote instruction. I would like to provide each student with sight word books, journal paper, bins to keep at their seats, playdough, and tweezers for fine motor skills, carpet squares, and lap desks to allow safe flexible seating since we are unable to do circle time. I appreciate your help in providing my students with a fun and safe learning environment!
My students have had to make some sacrifices and have been unable to freely use manipulatives in the classroom.
Having playdough, tweezers and lego mats with legos will help with fine motor skills: dry erase markers for their whiteboards they use daily is vital, along with bins to store their things, an easel to allow my students to see my work on the board from every direction, and digital resources through Teachers Pay Teachers.
During these times is important that each student have their own individual materials in order to be successful in a safe learning environment.
