My students need a safe Dry Erase Board. We have a 1/4 of a school classroom to learn in and our current Easel-Style Dry Erase Board is not safe.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a special education teacher who works with general education (children without disabilities), English language learners, and students with special needs such as auditory impairment, autism, emotionally disturbed, learning disabilities, orthopedic impairments, etc.
I work in a Title One school where most of our population receives free or reduced lunch.
For many of my students, home life is not traditional; some live with grandparents, one parent, a relative, or even bounce between homes. In addition, they come to school and, due to special needs or other life events, they struggle.
My wish is to offer these children a safe and innovated environment where they can grow to be confident in themselves, successful, contributing, and involved members of society.
My Project
The main thing we need is a SAFE Dry-Erase Board. I teach special education pull-out classes. Due to lack of space, my students and I share the rooms we work in. We are lucky to have a place to learn, so we don't complain about the space. We enjoy each other and don't mind being close to one another.
We only ask for our safety to be improved by having a child-friendly Dry Erase Board.
We don't have a wall dry erase board so we have to use a small portable one. The one we have is old, it doesn't erase well, things fall off of it, and it has tipped over and fallen on my foot.
As grateful as we are for the Dry-Erase Board that we have, I think it is safe to say, we are in need of an upgrade. I am asking for a mobile Dry-Erase Board (Store & Display Teaching Cart) from Lakeshore.
I also ask for some educational resources. My students would immensely benefit from grade-level workbooks to help me teach them explicit concepts in math and reading. They would also enjoy practicing math and reading skills in a fun setting, such as HOT DOTS centers.
With your generosity, our class will be a safe place to learn!
