Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

This year I'm working with the Cluster Program. Our children each have different personalities, working on different levels and very lovable. Some are non-verbal, some have short attention span but all need all of our attention and care. These children need to be in the classroom environment but because of the Coronavirus they can't.

My Project

The alphabet blanket will be used for warmth and a learning tool to teach them their alphabets. The books will be used to help with their fine motor skills by turning pages and education them with sight words, numbers and color. The detergent is to help the parents with their cleaning needs and these are essentials things that the parents need for their children.

We understand the needs of our children and parents during these trying times.

We know how difficult it can be with special needs children in the house all day. Their activities are limited to house and their learning is limited to being in front of a computer.
