My class is a group of super energetic five and six year olds who love learning! They love to prove what they know in math and are so eager to improve their reading skills! We are a Title I school in Missouri where a large percentage of the children come from very low income households and receive breakfast and lunch here at school. The parents of my students care deeply for their children and do all they can to provide for them.
Like any teacher, I want the best for my students and will do all I can to ensure that they learn to their fullest potential.
Kindergarten aged students are such a joy to teach. They truly are little sponges and soak up so much information. Knowing that some of my students' families have difficulties to overcome makes me want to try to compensate wherever possible in order to help them be as successful in learning as they can be.
My Project
Many of my little Kindergarteners are bus riders and spend time waiting out in the cold weather for the school bus. I have seen the lack of outerwear that some of them have and really wish to help provide warm outerwear to keep them safe and warm.
The warmth that the Sanitor Balaclava hats, ViGrace fleece-lined hats and the convertible gloves will provide for the children will give them safety and comfort as well as giving peace of mind to me and their parents.
Some of my students do not even have hats or gloves and as we often go outside for recess when it's cold, they need their hands and heads protected.
It would mean so much to me, my students and their families to have a reserve of items that I can pull from to help when necessary.
