My students are so passionate about learning and come into my classroom ready to work hard every single day. They long to ask questions and explore their interests. In life, we are all different learners, and that is very reflective in my classroom. I'm always looking for new ways to reach every single one of them and to challenge them on a daily basis.
With as hard as they work for me day in and day out, I would do anything to make sure that they are successful both in and out of the classroom.
Although this requires a lot of time and effort, it is beyond worth it for this great group of 4th graders. Every moment and every penny spent is worthwhile to make a difference in the lives of my very special children!
My Project
My students have blown me away this year with their thirst for knowledge and their creativity. As the school year hits the midway point, we are busting at the seams of the classroom - literally. This is an all-time high for my classroom with 28 students. With the funding of this project, we will obtain 10 more seat sacks to add to our "not enough for everyone" class set.
My goal through this project is to create a more efficient classroom to enrich the learning experience.
With 28 students, we are squeezed together like little sardines in our classroom. With such a tight space, routine and procedures are key. We use seat sacks to keep our binder and agendas during the day. Since this is an all-time high number for my classroom, we are a few seat sacks short of having enough for each student in my class. While my students are amazing and have shared seat sacks, taken "one for the team" and gone without a seat sack for the day, or switched off with other students day-by-day, I want to create a sense of equality and ease in my classroom. By the funding of this project, we will be able to have less clutter and more work space if every student has a seat sack!
