Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Help my students stretch their thinking in science through using hands-on science materials. Last year I was searching through flea markets and thrift stores to find inexpensive materials to teach many of the cool science themes for my second graders. This year I would like to have the actual books and materials to allow them to visually see and feel each learning experience. The students at my school are so motivated and willing to learn but with no material it is difficult to catch their minds into this fun world of science. The materials I would like to have are set of science kits that contain books & props for themes such as rocks, sun & moon, life cycle and many more. These materials would not only be used by my 30 students this year but also for my other students the following years. Please help me offer my students a more creative and authentic learning experience in science. Thank You.
