Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I teach PE to students in grades K-5 in a multicultural school that celebrates diversity. My students enjoy running, racing, bowling, dancing, and tennis. They also enjoy reading, math, and playing foursquare, and basketball at recess. Our school is an open-concept school which means that there are no walls that separate classes from one another. Every year, we have a family multi-cultural night where families bring food and wear traditional clothes to celebrate their culture. It's a great time to celebrate the diversity at our school.

My Project

Several of my students are picky eaters. They don't always eat everything on their tray for lunch. My students are hungry later in the day and right after school. Having a variety of snacks such as popcorn, pita chips, applesauce and juice to choose from would be great for my students to have when they get hungry and thirsty at school.

Your donation would help give my students the energy they need to learn, play, and stay active when they are at school.

My students really love snacks and they would really appreciate having something to snack on when they are hungry. The snacks will also be very helpful for students who miss breakfast.
