Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach in a small rural community who's residence are well below the poverty level. We send backpacks home on Fridays filled with food so that our babies will have something to eat over the weekend. These students need every advantage available. Please help us to help them.

My student's ages range from 5 to 12.

Their grade-levels range is from Kindergarten to 4th grade. Many have been retained. Some live a very challenging life outside of school. Several of them look forward to school because being at school provides them with a break from the extensive situations at home.

My Project

Many of our students have learning disabilities and with this piece of technology they will explore new and exciting was to learn. A few of our students have speaking disabilities and this will give them an opportunity to have a voice and be heard. Without you, my student will never get the chance to learn how to use the technology of today.

This project will give my students new learning opportunities that otherwise they will never get.

With this technology, I will be able to better equip them with the skills necessary for employment. Please help us to help them.
