This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a P.E. Coach sponsoring an afterschool Team Sport for running club in a low income/ high poverty neighborhood in San Antonio Texas in a Title I district. This is our 2nd year sponsoring the club and the students are extremely excited!

The runners stay after school once a week and enjoy running their miles at the high school track across the street.

Our students are a collective group of 3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade students, who have become excited about staying active. The club works on running drills using various equipment.

My Project

A sports utility wagon would be such a great help to transport the running club various equipment.

The wagon will protect all equipment from the wear and tear of excessive handling.

Looking ahead to the spring semester, the running club various training equipment such as battle ropes, archer station, hurdles, plyometric boxes, and kettlebells need to be transported into the gym.

The wagon will also be used to transport the water cooler to the high school track for running days at the track.

The runners use all this equipment to train for upcoming running events.

Since the equipment for the running club program has evolved, we need a stronger wagon to be able to withhold all the heavy equipment.
