I am a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district. My students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. I have several students who struggle with learning disabilities. I am looking to provide my students with a creative and meaningful learning experience.
My students are creative and love to learn.
They just need materials that suit their variety of learning differences. We all learn differently and need a variety of materials to do so. We will truly appreciate any help that is provided with funding for this project.
My Project
COVID-19 has changed the way we do everything! In years past, we’ve always had a special gym class. During that class, the students would have time for free play. They would freely run and play. This year though, we’ve got to do something structured and where social distancing can take place.
Help me inspire girls to start running.
I want to divide my class into teams — running teams. This will allow us to still get our time outdoors. It will give us the opportunity to participate in team activities and in some healthy competition. Running is good for the students’ health and will also help increase attention and focus once we return back to class. Not to mention, this will be so much fun, and that is what we all need right now!
Staying active is important.
If these girls are willing to participate in sports then I want to provide them with what they need to participate. My girls need training bras.
