Run, Jump, Play Birchwood Middle School Field Day 2023!
Help me give my students the best field day ever! This will be the second year having a field day since Covid and the students truly were so excited about it.
Our school is made up of about 400 students in grades 6th to 8th. The demographics of the school are a very diverse population. We have a full-time ELL teacher who does full inclusion with the students. Many students have free or reduced lunch, and special education students are in full inclusion in the classroom.
Due to the COVID pandemic, we are unable to go on field trips, have fundraiser inside the school that brings together the community or have any dances or movie nights.
The students need some positive engagement and to make that happen it needs to be outside.
So the PBIS group wants to put together an end-of-the-year field day with an enormous engaging obstacle course for the entire school. We will have an inflatable obstacle course, tons of games, a picnic lunch, and much more.
