Help me give my students recess time with purpose, skill practice, and fun! Now that we are on campus, I would like to encourage my first graders to play flag football, soccer, four square, kickball, and more!
My students are gifted 1st graders and benefit from differentiated teaching. They are identified as above grade level in two or more areas, yet they are still young kids, navigating life through discovery and play!
Whether we are in class or at recess, kids learn through play.
My Project
Playground with purpose! With kids on campus now and Arizona weather changes, 'tis the season for jump ropes, hula hoops, and playing ball outside!
My first graders will love playing flag football, basketball, kick ball, four square, and more!
We have an amazing playground with lots of space, including a grassy area and courts. I plan to organize these games that encourage large motor skill growth, coordination, sportsmanship, and team collaboration. These skills lead kids to respect and care for each other while gaining athletic abilities. They will engage their brains and build muscle and stamina, all while having fun! By creating playground time with purpose, our students are encouraged to join in on the fun and get their bodies and their brains energized! Most of our students are on campus now and will benefit from these athletic opportunities.
