Help me give my students the supplies needed for a great run club season! The items we are asking for are name labels, certificate paper, black ink, water cups, and treats.
This is my fifth year teaching and coaching at this school.
It is a Title 1 school where 100% of our students receive free and reduced-price lunch.
As a special education educator and run club coach, I work with a vast range of students from many different cultures.
We have students speaking languages such as Hmong, Spanish, Burmese, Somali, Persian, and more.
I mainly work with K-2 grade level students in the classroom and 4th and 5th graders in run club.
My Project
These materials enhance our run club by providing the necessary items needed for a smooth-running sports club.
Run Club is a happy place where our participants have the opportunity to experience acceptance, encouragement, and success.
When students arrive at the club they check-in and receive a custom printed name tag. Our run clubbers report that they join this after-school club to enjoy friendships, gain fitness, and to have fun.
We end many of our run club days with a game and a special treat. At our season wrap-up party, the run clubbers receive a special certificate. Many special memories are made!
