My Project

My kindergarten students come from many different backgrounds. Each precious student brings something special to our class. During the year we become more than classmates, we become a class family. Like any family, we never want to see someone we care about be uncomfortable.

So many students come with no snacks and are hungry during our long days, and that's why I am asking for help to fill rumbling tummies and give them the energy to learn.

No child can control what food they bring to school. When a child in my class has no snack and is hungry, I will give them something to eat, no questions asked. No one should ever be hungry.

Having a full belly helps students pay attention and have the energy they need to work on lessons and learn the material being taught. It is a simple solution that makes a great difference.
