Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are in a public school in the suburbs. We are in a graded center, so the students are only in this building for 3 years.

I have the best students!

My students are in grades 3, 4 and 5 and we work daily on reading skills. We are a very diverse group and we learn from each other daily.

We respect one another and meet daily challenges to do our best. We are working on being future leaders and role models in our society.

My Project

My students will benefit greatly from a new classroom environment. During small group time we would love the warmth and comfort of the Reach for the Stars Indigo Rug. Currently we have to sit on the tile floor and with the colder temperatures, it is cold and uncomfortable.

A relaxing homelike setting is welcoming and will help motivate students to come to class with an eager anticipation to learn.

Incorporating soft lighting from Staples with the Adesso Shimmy Floor Lamp will add an ambiance and encourage students to put forth their best effort. The Flex-Space 22' Balance Ball Seat Bundle will provide additional comfort and give the students the opportunity for some much needed movement. The incorporation of these products will change our classroom setting from average or basic to a warm environment which focuses on love, family and lots of dedication to be our best!
