My students need a rug we can all gather at for read-alouds, class meetings, and for independent reading time.

My Students

My students are exceptional students, at a very special school. They are 1st graders who are working at 2nd grade level work.

My students come into school every day ready to learn and be creative.

Students come from all over the Chicago area to learn at our school. I have 29 students in my room, so having places to work is very important for us. Our room is a place where students can be challenged, but also have fun while they learn!

My Project

We need a rug for our classroom that is large enough for all 29 of us! Having a space we can all gather at together would be invaluable for my students.

It will be a place we could, be comfortable during read-alouds, class meetings, and be a place for students to read independently.

It would be useful for all subjects. A large rug would warm the room and make our classroom more of a home! Our current rug is very useful, but not all of us can sit on it at the same time. It would be a huge help if students could all sit together at the rug.
