My Students

Help me give my students the first glimpse of the infinite world of literature as we discover new words and adventures in our bilingual classroom.

I work for a low-income school, in which every child receives a free lunch.

My students are eager to learn, especially when its time to read. They love to devour every text that crosses their path. They enjoy discovering new things and to be challenged. They love to learn and help each other as we set goals that will not only help them be prepared for third grade, but also for their future endeavors as professionals.

My Project

Who hasn't talked about a good book with a good friend? Well, if you help me fund for these books, my students are going to have the opportunity to share a good book with each other, but not only when you read it. Instead, it gets better as you share your understandings with someone else. This will provide us with the opportunity to share something together as a class, and what else is better than a good book. My students need 32 copies of Ruby Mono Ve, Mono Hace to read during independent story time.

This project is very important because it is going to give my students the opportunity to expand their vocabulary, make connections, share ideas, and collaborate with one another.

As we read this text, students will be able to experience having the responsibility of having their own book, they are going to be able to use sticky notes to annotate their understandings as they read. Your contributions will be greatly appreciated.
