The Pride Class is a period set aside every six days. The class is supposed to be something different and challenging while giving students opportunities that are not typical in the school day. The Rubik's Cube Pride Class is composed of a mixture of sixth, seventh and eighth graders.
Students are very excited about learning to solve a Rubik's Cube in class.
The class provides a great opportunity for students to learn problem solving skills, develop teamwork and gain a sense of pride and accomplishment while developing perseverance.
My Project
Our school is very lucky to have a pride class built into students' and teachers' hectic schedules. We are super fortunate to be able of offer the super awesome class that will teach students how to solve a Rubik's Cube Puzzle. Our major drawback is that we don't have enough for everyone. I originally learned how to solve a Rubik's Cube using the "Rubik's Solution Hints Booklet."
It is a class goal that every student can solve a Rubik's Cube by following the hints given in the booklet.
This will give students a physical hands on experience. Students will have numerous opportunities to collaborate and build teamwork skills by working in groups. Students will actively seek out knowledge and strategies to solve one of the world's most iconic puzzles. Learning how to solve a Rubik's Cube is an accomplishment that I am very proud of. I hope all of my students can experience the same feeling of pride through our class together. We have a have a very enthusiastic class, we just need some Rubik's Cube Puzzles.
