My students need the Big Joe chair and the yoga mat in order to expand upon the relaxing flexible seating arrangement in my classroom. Chairs and desks are a thing of the past!

My Students

I teach at a low income/title 1 school district in a medium sized borough of Schuylkill County. My students vary in academics and behaviors. I teach Response to Instruction and Intervention (RtII) classes. My goal each and every class period is to provide students with the enrichment and remediation needed to be successful learners.

My goal within my classroom is to provide a relaxing, yet exciting learning environment for my students to develop as life-long learners.

My classroom already has a different look with blue light filters, and a few different seating options. I want my students to be comfortable so that they could enjoy the learning environment. We have come a long way from rows and pushed in chairs!

My Project

I believe in a relaxed learning environment for my students. Flexible seating helps students have a choice, be comfortable, and feel relaxed and cared for.

Desks and chairs are a thing of the past, and students learn to love school more when they are comfortable in the classroom!

I strive to engage my students on a daily basis. There is flexible seating and grouping throughout my classroom. The yoga mat and Dorm Bean Bag Chairs will help to enhance this environment.

My students are of all levels and some work with me in small groups while others are off being challenged independently. Learning is fun in my room, not only because students are retaught skills or challenged, but because it is comfortable and there are many seating options to look forward to.
