We have the most inspirational students! They come from more than 75 countries and a multitude of different situations but they all strive for future success and love coming to school. Students who speak all different languages come together and form a community and display endless determination and grit. Students at my school have leaped over many hurdles to arrive where they are today, and they are just looking for a little boost from us to set them off on the right foot after high school and future success.
My goal is to make sure all my students in physical education class have the same quality opportunities to learn about their own wellness and pursuit of life long fitness and health.
My Project
This project will help build our offerings to students in PE class. Students will be able to work out on the best, new equipment and utilize things that they would not get the chance to try out.
The PE Department is working on expanding our offerings to have specific classes that give students the ability to choose from a number of options- one being Personal Training.
Students will learn how to properly use this equipment and design their own differentiated workout programs. It is our hope to give these students the ability to use new equipment that they will not be able to use otherwise.
Next year our students are moving to a new school. The new school has a brand new weight room and we want to give them the best equipment to use for their progress. Even if we are not back in school this year, we will be able to video "how-to" tutorials so students can learn how to properly use the new equipment and be able to look forward to the new equipment for PE class! Again, the how-to videos that will be filmed will not only allow students to see proper form, but most importantly will give them a light at the end of the tunnel and be excited about coming back to PE class!
