I am a Special Education Teacher co-sponsoring a running club in a low income/ high poverty neighborhood in San Antonio Texas in a Title I district.
The runners stay after school once a week and enjoy running their miles at the high school track across the street.
Our students are a collective group of 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students. Who have become excited about staying active. The runners have been able to experience various skills to incorporate into their running along with keeping track of their daily steps.
With the right equipment, I can offer students the opportunity to experience new activities. We will utilize the cross training to incorporate cardiovascular fitness with our afterschool running club.
Cross-training gear is an essential piece to make sure all athletes have what they need to become successful.
Utilizing battle ropes has many benefits such as creating a dual force dynamic effect in using force of gravity and force created by ropes waves to improve all of the human system physiologic response. It also strengthened: the grip, shoulders, core, hips, knees, feet, ankles, and mind. Please join me in obtaining these amazing pieces of training equipment that will help our young athletes to learn a wide array of different movement patterns.
