My Students

Our school is a gifted and talented school in Queens, NY. My students are avid readers who can't keep their hands off books! We love to read and we do A LOT of it. As second graders my students are above grade level in the area of reading and need some extra resources and enrichment for me to help push them to their highest potential.

My students would love some flexible seating and some items to make our library area more cozy for when we dive into a good book.

My Project

Our classroom is full of bookworms who can't keep their hands off of the books in our classroom library. The only thing that is missing from our room is a library area where students can really get lost in their books.

A library area is important for reading time to feel special and unique in our classroom.

I want students to feel like our classroom, especially the library, is a safe space for their imagination to run wild.

Students will be able to stretch out on our carpet with the throw pillows, sit around the room with the cushions and cozy up on the small rug during free reading time.
