Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students have a passion for learning and are focused on becoming college and career ready. Many of them come from all parts of the world and have faced challenges that are beyond comprehension. Each one of these children deserve to learn in a classroom where they feel safe and comfortable and have access to the tools they need to be successful. It is my hope that this project will supply them with the items they need to learn in a space that feels like what many of us would call home.

My Project

Every day we use various strategies in our classroom to strengthen students' reading and writing skills. We are lucky enough to have the option to use Chromebooks occasionally to personalize and differentiate learning for our students in order to meet their individual needs. Recently, we have implemented a reading program which requires headsets with microphones.

These items would benefit students greatly and help them on the path to success!
